Mathematics Major

The mathematics major consists of six required courses and four electives.

Students must complete six required courses:

Electives

Students must complete four electives:

  • Two mathematics courses at the 200 level or higher
  • One mathematics course at the 300 level or higher
  • One mathematics course at the 300 level or higher, or STA 315

All mathematics majors are strongly encouraged to take at least one course in computer science. Students planning to attend graduate school in mathematics or statistics should consult with their adviser to develop an appropriate course of study.
