Study Away
Students interested in studying abroad must apply for approval through the Office of Study Away. Approval to study away is contingent on the students’ academic records and adherence to application processes and deadlines.
Students who elect to take part of the degree requirements elsewhere are reminded that the transcripts from other institutions are evaluated by the Office of the Registrar and the course work is posted to the student’s transcript with grades and credits**. It is the student’s responsibility to have an official transcript sent from his/her Study Abroad or Study Away institution.
Beginning with students matriculating in Fall 2021, including transfer and RTC students, grades from courses taken while a student is enrolled in an international Study Away program will appear on a student's transcript, but will not be included in the grade-point standing unless earned as part of a Study Away/Teach Away (SATA) program or a program for which Connecticut College is the school of record.
Students considering pursuing another degree after graduation from Connecticut College should be aware that many graduate and professional schools will take all undergraduate grades into account in admission decisions, including those earned while enrolled in a Study Away program.
For current and more specific information on application processes and programs for study away, contact the Office of Study Away.
**For students who matriculated prior to Fall 2021, including transfer and RTC students.
