GOV 493F THEORIES OF INTERNAT'L RELATNS

An examination of how different schools of thought including (but not limited to) realism, Marxism, the New Right, and critical theory approach questions about the nature of good governance and the responsibilities of citizenship within a global system lacking any formal political order.  Topics include (among others) the relationship between power and law, the rights of sovereignty versus human rights, and the possibilities of international cooperation.
