FLM 395I FASCISM AND FILM

This course explores the connections between fascism, a key socio-political movement of the 20th and 21st centuries, and film, one of the most popular mediums. Through the detailed analysis of films such as Triumph of the Will (1935) and One Battle After Another (2025), students learn how global cinema has celebrated fascism’s radical agenda, made explicit its aesthetics, denounced its policies, or warned of the ideology's dangers.
