CHI 411 ADVANCED CHINESE I
An individualized student-research seminar using Advanced Chinese. Drawing from literary, journalistic, or technical fields, students select textual and audio-visual materials that complement their academic pursuits. Participants produce analytical, synoptic, or creative projects and build an individualized vocabulary database of 1,000 entries.
Notes
Native Chinese speakers may fulfill the World Languages and Cultures requirement by completing any two 400-level Chinese courses. Students must study advanced linguistic or cultural topics unfamiliar to them, such as classical or dialectal Chinese, historical literature, or alternative character scripts. Other relevant topics may be selected with departmental approval.
Prerequisite
CHI 302 or equivalent.
