CHI 101 INTENSIVE ELEM CHINESE I
An introduction to speaking and writing Modern Standard Chinese using traditional characters. Students master the pinyin romanization scheme, the Mandarin tonal system, 274 characters, and 60 grammar patterns. Content is integrated into 16 interactive, real-life communicative scenarios. Coursework includes daily character dictations.
Notes
Six hours credit each semester. Course 101 is prerequisite to Course 102.
