AHI 263 WOMEN ARTISTS: MODERN/CONTEMP
The canon of modern art is often framed around famous male artists. This course reconsiders that history through the work of women artists, from Impressionism to the present. Students will study key modern movements while engaging critically with gender and feminist art history, using works from the Lyman Allyn Art Museum as examples.
