PHY 213 ELECTRONICS FOR SCIENTISTS
An introductory course in electronics for students pursuing science, technology, and/or mathematics majors, minors, or Pathways. Topics include DC and AC circuits, passive and active filters, operational amplifiers, diodes and LEDs, transistors, digital circuits and logic gates, and programmable microcontrollers.
Notes
Two lectures, three hours laboratory work.

Prerequisite
MAT 112 (or a more advanced calculus course) is required. Previous physics experience (
PHY 107,
PHY 108,
PHY 109,
PHY 110, or an equivalent physics course at the high school level) is recommended but not required.
