MUS 105 ENLIGHTENMENT TO MODERNISM
Although the German-speaking countries are small, the ideas and artwork from these countries have had both a formative and cataclysmic impact on the entire world. This course is a survey of German visual art and music from the Enlightenment to modernism. From Mozart to Clara Schumann to Kurt Weill, students will learn about three centuries of German music and the artists who inspired it.
Notes
The ability to read music is not required for this class. Students may not receive credit for both this course and for FYS 1079.
