HIS 356 MODERN SOUTH ASIA
The course surveys the broad trajectories which have made South Asian pasts, and highlights the contests for the right to tell history throughout the modern period. Consideration is given to social, cultural, economic, and political issues in modern India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
