HIS 204 THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

An exploration of the era of the American Revolution, its origins, after-effects, and Atlantic World context from 1760-1800. Topics include the Seven Years' War, British imperial politics and policies, the development of American identity, enslavement and notions of freedom, the creation of new American governments, and the broad influence of the revolution. Students will read closely, think critically, conduct research, and develop key analytical skills.
