GWS 276 HOW TO MAKE A WITCH
How to Make a Witch: Xenophobia, Misogyny, and the Occult takes a long historical and wide geographical approach to the figure of the witch, the practice of witchcraft, and the political, philosophical, and religious rhetoric about both. The course covers the ancient Mediterranean world, the colonial and early United States, and various constructions of the witch in contemporary American popular culture.
