DAN 325 DESIGN IMMERSIVE PERFORMANCE
Immersive performance brings audiences into the center of the performance space and choreographs their movement, as well as that of the performers. In this course, Artists and Technicians of all backgrounds come together to design and implement an immersive performance on campus. The course provides an introduction to the field of immersive performance, and examines subjects like sound design, set design, and costume design for immersive performance. Students will have an opportunity to design for a performance choreographed by a guest artist. Students with an interest in applying their experience in any art form to a new context under the tutelage of a professional designer are encouraged to enroll.
