ART 232 CLAY IN CONTEXT

This course provides an opportunity for students to create individual or collaborative studio projects in response to a chosen topic, process, or theme. Clay will be used alone or in conjunction with other materials, and students will be challenged to develop a personal, critical, contemporary body of work or clay/glaze research. Course content changes with student interest and may include explorations in sculpture, pottery, ceramic materials, field/site work, interdisciplinary, cross media, or community-based work.

Any of the following courses and permission of the instructor: ART 216, ART 217, ART 218, ART 222D, ART 227, ART 316.
