AHI 263 BAD GIRLS: RETHINKING MODERN

The canon of modern art is often framed around famous male artists. This course reconsiders that history through the work of women artists, from Impressionism to the present. Centering figures such as Berthe Morisot, Claude Cahun, Lee Krasner, Yoko Ono, and Ana Mendieta, students will study key modern movements while engaging critically with gender and feminist art history.
