SL 105 UNDERSTANDING HUMAN DISEASES

Understanding Human Diseases:  An Integrative Approach  An introduction to biological basis of major human diseases. Students will examine the various factors that contribute to the occurrence of major diseases and how those diseases may be diagnosed and treated.  The course also considers the social determinants of health and disease such as poverty, unequal access to health care, lack of education, stigma, and racism.
