PHI 279 BIG IDEAS OF THE 20TH CENTURY
The 20th century saw two world wars, a cold war, massive geopolitical reorientation, and major debates within the U.S., among other big events. This course examines some of the important ideas that shaped this turbulent century. Topics may include communism, fascism, nationalism, capitalism, liberalism, conservativism, decolonization, orientalism, feminism, postmodernism, critical race theory, and antizionism.
