MUS 338 AUDIO RECORDING & ENGINEERING
This course will cover theoretical and practical aspects of audio recording. Topics will include microphone selection and placement, multitrack recording, advanced digital signal processing techniques, mixing and mastering audio, and session organization. Students will gain technical skills through practice-based assignments in the recording studio, while also developing listening skills through critical analysis of recordings from various musical styles. Projects and assignments will include both technical demonstrations of course content as well as open-ended creative uses of skills gained in the course.
