HIS 245 AFRICAN HISTORY SINCE 1800
This survey introduces some of the major topics in the history of Africa since 1800, including European colonialism, African liberation movements, and the challenges faced by new African nations in the 20th and 21st centuries. The course focuses on how different African scholars, writers, and activists have responded to colonialism and interpreted what it means to decolonize their societies.
