FRH 343 ÉVOLUTION ET RÉVOLUTION
A survey of French culture and history focusing on the interrelation of education and social order, from the medieval to revolutionary periods. In addition to the progressive effects of education, the course examines arguments against the “dangers” of universal education (education made available without regard to gender and social class).
Prerequisite
FRH 301 or permission of the instructor.
