EDU 310 HISTORY OF EDUCATION IN THE US

Examination of the history of schooling (P-20) in the United States from the colonial era to the present. Emphasis is placed on enduring debates about the purpose(s) of education, and struggles for equity and access along lines of race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, language, religion, dis(ability), and social class.
