ECO 212 ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS
An application of economic theory to natural resource use and issues in environmental management. Emphasis is on the discussion and appraisal of past and current environmental policy from an economist's perspective. Students will employ multimodal communication skills through building logical and graphical arguments for policy that addresses externalities and improves societal welfare. Potential topics include pollution, electricity, non-renewable extraction, fisheries, forestry, endangered and invasive species, and climate change.
Notes
Course credit may be earned for both this course and ECO 312. ECO 312 may be taken concurrently.
