BIO 120N INTRO TO BIOLOGICAL INQUIRY
Development and Genetics of Animals and Plants An investigation of the developmental process throughout the lives of individual organisms, particularly humans. Topics include the cell cycle and development of cancer, signal transduction pathways and cells, and gene expression. Students will become “experts” on a gene of their particular interest and will write research proposals investigating this gene. The course includes experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.

Students may not receive credit both for this course and for any other section of BIO 120.
Registration Restrictions
Open to first-year students. Sophomores may enroll with permission of the instructor.
