BIO 120K INTRO TO BIOLOGICAL INQUIRY

Biofeedback, Self-Regulation, and Intergenerational Resilience  Biofeedback is a mind–body self‐regulation technique through which individuals learn how to modify their physiology for the purpose of improving physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. In this course, students will encounter the theoretical and scientific framework as well as the practical implications of biofeedback. In addition, the course covers topics such as nature versus nurture, genetics and epigenetics, cellular memory and adaptation, trauma and healing, and intergenerational wisdom and resilience. The course will include experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.

Registration Restrictions

Open to first-year students. Sophomores may enroll with permission of the instructor.
