ANT 256 “MIGRATION CRISIS” IN EUROPE

An exploration of the predicaments of the European "Migration Crisis." The course discusses the current situation in the context of the global reinforcement of borders through the development of walls and camps in and on the outskirts of "Fortress Europe" and looks at the development of "sanctuary cities" across Europe.

Notes

This course many include an optional section that will meet for an additional hour each week to discuss supplemental readings in French.  Students participating in the foreign language section will receive one additional credit hour, pass/not passed marking.

Prerequisite

ANT 102 or ANT 112 or ANT 104 or ANT 114, or permission of the instructor.
