PHI 216 MEDIEVAL PHILOSOPHY
The medieval period was remarkably fertile philosophically. We will focus on giants from the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim traditions, and study their debates on fundamental issues of metaphysics and epistemology, including the nature of God, causation, free will, other possible worlds, and the relation between the knowing mind and the world known.
