MUS E220G NEW MUSIC AND IMPROVISATION
This ensemble performs notated and improvised chamber music rooted in the style of 20th- and 21st-century western art music. Students will learn strategies for improvisation and will be exposed to music-making practices that span genres. There are frequent opportunities to interact with composers of new works. The ensemble is open to all instrumentalists and singers.
Notes
One semester-hour credit per semester (pass/not passed). For restrictions on the number of one-semester-hour courses that may be counted toward the degree, see the catalog. May be repeated for credit. This is the same course as MUS 220G.
Prerequisite
Instructor Permission required.
Registration Restrictions
Open by audition; regular attendance and practicing required.
