MUS 228 COMPOSING: MUSIC AS PLACE
An investigation of ways in which physical location and one's personal experience of place influences our composing. Students will read, analyze, and listen to music of artists who utilize this connection. The class is project-based, drawing on works from all genres of music as inspiration for finding our own creative voices and approaches to composing.
Prerequisite
MUS 104, 122, or 130; or permission of the instructor.

Enrollment limited to 15 students.
