MUS 118 PIANO PROFICIENCY FOR MAJORS
Private piano instruction designed for the development of essential keyboard skills for non-pianists majoring or minoring in the music department. Emphasis on major and minor scales, score reading, and harmonization. Students receive one 25-minute lesson per week. Minimum practice expectation is one half-hour per day.
Notes
One semester-hour credit per semester (pass/not passed). May be repeated for credit. For restrictions on the number of one-semester-hour courses that may be counted toward the degree, see the Academic section of the catalog.
Prerequisite
Permission of the instructor is required.
