GWS 377 SEX, GENDER, AND REVOLUTION
Using comparative and transnational methods, this course examines testimonies and theories devised by women and LGBTQ people involved in anti-imperialist and anti-fascist movements. The course explores how gender and sexual hierarchies fueled affective attachments to revolutionary struggle, how they were challenged, and how they shaped how freedom was imagined.
