GOV 493S AMERICAN POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT
An examination of the development of American political institutions, with a focus on state building, political parties, liberalism, the role of organized labor, civil and voting rights, and public policy.
Prerequisite
GOV 111 or permission of the instructor.
Registration Restrictions
If taken in the sophomore year, this course does not satisfy the requirement of a 400-level seminar in the major, which must be taken during the junior or senior year.
Enrollment Limit
Enrollment limited to 16 students.
