FYS 1071 FILM FEMINISMS
This course explores feminist cinemas across the 20th and 21st centuries within a global context, introducing students to key texts, histories, and debates. Interdisciplinary in design, the course attends to the film practices and critical literature that have accompanied feminist discourses, communities, and politics. The course also serves as an introduction to the critical analysis of cinema and its formal elements, providing the analytical tools and vocabulary to talk about film aesthetics and politics.
