FLM 295A SCREENING THE BODY

This course explores the representation of the human body in cinema as the medium's primary subject. Through examining camera placement, shot composition, and editing techniques, students will explore questions such as: How does cinema represent cultural norms related to the body? How do films inscribe bodily differences based on gender, race, sexuality, and disability?
