BIO 120D INTRO TO BIOLOGICAL INQUIRY
FROM GENES TO GENOMES The investigation of biological data at the genomic level, including discussion of potential societal impact of existing and emerging consumer genomic technologies. Emphasis on student-designed computational laboratory for analysis of large-scale gene expression data with diverse applications including medicine, agriculture, and ecology. No prior computer programming knowledge expected.
Notes
Students may not receive credit both for this course and for any other section of BIO 120.
Registration Restrictions
Open to first-year students. Sophomores may enroll with permission of the instructor.
