Assignments will incorporate these processes to facilitate work relative to contemporary expression. Formulas for making one’s own paints, ink, gesso, encaustics, fresco, and tempera will be used. Historical processes are also studied, including silver point, gold leaf, camera lucida, camera obscura, intaglio, the convex mirror, and pen making.
