SOC 360 UNDOC LATINX IMMIGRATION

This course looks at the ways that undocumented status shapes the lives of undocumented Latinx people in the United States.  Students will examine how immigration status intersects with race, class, gender, and ability within the Latinx community.  Students will also study policy and social movements advocating for undocumented immigrants' rights.  The course will be taught from a transnational perspective, which includes understanding immigration and migration within the context of U.S. political and economic relations with Latin America.
