ENG 246 THINKING ABOUT FEELING
THINKING ABOUT FEELING An interdisciplinary approach to investigations of emotion, considering feelings both as individual bodily and psychic phenomena, and as important features of collective political and social life. In units organized around discrete feelings—shame, envy, compassion, and disgust, to name a few—we will explore the representation of emotion in works of literature and art alongside writing by cultural theorists, psychologists, political scientists, and philosophers.
