DAN 201 MOVEMENT TECHNIQUES II
An exploration of the many techniques that the dance department offers. The course examines the physical and contextual similarities and differences between distinct ways of moving. Objectives include alignment, spatial awareness, rhythmic and sequential patterning, grounding, attention, performativity, and finding self and community. Movement supported by readings, video, discussions, and written assignments.

This is the same course as DAN 251.
Prerequisite
Open to students who have taken
DAN 114, 151, 152, 162, 165. Students who have studied dance elsewhere may take the course with the instructor's permission.
