FYS 109C LIFE AND DEATH IN ANCIENT ROME

An exploration of daily life in the Roman world two millennia ago.  Drawing upon wide-ranging sources that present diverse perspectives, the course will trace the life-cycle of a Roman.  Topics include childhood and education, marriage and family, work and play, morals and values, and old age and death.
