FYS 118D PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE@CONN

Connecticut College's Built Environment: Past, Present, and Future  At over 100 years old, the campus of Connecticut College has many stories to tell. This course explores the founding of the College and the creation of the campus. Students will consider the broader context and geography of New London and other college and university campuses. In discussing the aging and stewardship of the buildings and landscape, students will explore historic preservation, sustainability, resource allocation, daily management, and the regulatory environment.  Students will also consider the future development of the campus – planning, design, and construction.
