MAT 112 CALC B: DERIVATIVES/INTEGRALS
A continuation of the study of differential and integral calculus. Topics include the mean value theorem and l'Hospital's rule; extremal problems and curve sketching; definite and indefinite integrals; techniques of integration; and applications of the definite integral to problems relating to area and volume.
Notes
Students are encouraged to have a departmental interview to determine the appropriate level at which to enter the calculus sequence. Course 112 is a suitable starting point for students who have had previous exposure to calculus but have not received Advanced Placement credit.
Prerequisite
MAT 111 or permission of the instructor.
