GOV 220 THE EUROPEAN UNION
This course examines the history, institutions, and politics of the European Union. It considers alternative explanations of European integration, focusing on theories of constructivism, neofunctionalism, and liberal institutionalism.
Notes
This course may include an optional section that will meet for an additional hour each week to discuss supplemental readings in German. Students participating in the foreign language section will receive one additional credit hour, pass/not passed marking. Formerly Course 493L/494L; cannot receive credit for both courses.
Prerequisite
GOV 112 or permission of the instructor.
Registration Restrictions
Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Priority given to government and international relations majors.
Enrollment Limit
Enrollment limited to 28 students.
