FYS 108R A JOURNEY THROUGH WEB DEVLPMNT

A study of basic web-based software development that explores the evolution of the World Wide Web (WWW) into a powerhouse information space on the Internet. The class considers how major developmental milestones shaped web-based programming. Topics include the early pioneers, first web browsers, web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), the dot-com boom, social networks, and mobile computing. The course focuses on hands-on work and development of websites and web-based applications using a selected set of current web technologies.
