ENG 328 STDY IN VICTORIAN/MODERN NOVEL
An exploration of the role of money and the ambitions, corruptions, and institutions it promotes in 19th and early 20th century novels. Works include Dickens' Little Dorrit, Collins' The Moonstone, George Eliot's Middlemarch, Trollope's The Way We Live Now, Conrad's Nostromo, Woolf's To the Lighthouse, and Beckett's Murphy.
Prerequisite
Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. For sophomores,
ENG 250 is strongly recommended.
